The early bird

Lately, our routine around here has changed. To be more specific-  My routine has changed. I have never been a morning person. When Raylee was born, we adjusted her to schedule to fit ours, and everyone was happy. Then Brinn came along, and she fell into line as well. We would all stay up later, so we could sleep in later.
When Paul left, things began to change. Suddenly, the days felt very long when we were all up until 10 or 10:30 every night. Trying to get the girls to sleep in their own beds, and making it to mine at a reasonable hour was getting tough. That is when we started getting up early. I'm talking 6-7 in the morning. The girls and I could get up and watch TV, while we woke up. The days seemed to go by faster, and every ones schedule works better. Now when we get up at 7:30 or 8, I feel like we slept in. :)
Anyways, I know almost all mother's have a moment where it makes more sense to get up early, and wear your little ones out vs. sleeping the day away. It just happened for me a little later.

Here is a sleepy Brinn in the morning.

These are a couple of pictures of the girls in bunny ears. Raylee wanted to wear them and jump around, but could not figure out why they would not stay on her head? Silly girl. I love these sweet bunnies.

Hope everyone has a great morning!

Getting things done

Today was a productive day. I had a doctors appointment this morning to talk about my blood pressure, and get it checked. The appointment went very well. My blood pressure showed pre-hypertension, but nothing too serious. We are going to try some medicine for anxiety, and I bought a blood pressure cuff to monitor that from now on.

After the doctor, my Mom, the girls & I went for some lunch at one of my favorite Italian places that I hadn't been to in a while. Yum. (Thanks Mom!) Then we went to Walgreen's to pick up my medicine, and we got the girls passport pictures taken. They did so good, and for passport pictures they are pretty cute. Sorry about the bad quality.

After Walgreens we hit up Wal-Mart and the grocery store. It was so nice to have my mom there to help me, and of course our two cute helpers. Here are some pictures from the past few days.

My poor little separation anxiety baby. She does not want to let Momma out of her sight lately, which is not all bad. :)

This little girl will wave to every single person in the parking lot.

Here she is helping PawPaw water the yard.

Finally, here is each of the girls in Daddy's hat. Daddy's hats are always fun.

Hope everyone has a great evening!

What we miss...

We miss this face....

I miss seeing this sight.....

& this,

This was cool!

That was yummy. :)

Remember when this happened?

& then this...

All.Very.Cool.

This was just the span of a couple months. This isn't even CLOSE to the best part.! I am too blessed to be stressed. Even though clearly stress is a part of life. Ever since I had Brinn, my blood pressure has been high. Last week when I was sick, it was high enough for them to try some medication to regulate it. Since taking the medicine my symptoms have been noticeably less, although I have not been able to monitor my blood pressure. Next week I plan on going to my doctor in town to check my blood pressure, and get a refill of the medicine I'm currently on, if I need it. Please pray that we can get my blood pressure under control. Thank you.

Have a great weekend.

Days go by..

Well, we're back from another trip. This time we went to Kingwood to visit Grandpa & Grandma. Unfortunately, I was not able to enjoy any of the fun due to a stomach virus that had me sick for 4 days. Luckily, (as I am blessed to be) after lots of doctors visits & medicine, I am happy to report that I'm almost 100%.
The girls are great! They had a lot of fun w/ their grandparents getting to go to the park, and play w/ peanut, and ride in the car. Their Granna came and picked them on Monday, and they stayed w/ her & PawPaw until I could pick them up today. Knowing that they were in good hands made getting better SO much easier! Thank you!

Here are a few pictures!

Raylee is content to hang out by herself. She comes by that honestly.

Bath time!

This is the best I could get, this particular day. :)

Going to Granna & PawPaw's House!

We just got back from spending a few days at Granna & PawPaw's house. The weather was pretty bad, so we went over there, and then stayed another day. There were plenty of fun things for the girls to do, and having 3 adults on 2 kids is always easier than 1 on 2!

Here is Raylee helping Granna make some cookies. Raylee is getting to be a very good helper, and is happy to do anything she is able to do.

Here is Brinn after her bath in the sink. Gotta love a clean, happy baby!

We want to say a big Thank You to Granna & PawPaw for letting us stay at their house. I have a feeling they enjoyed it almost as much as we did! Love Y'all!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Elmo & Mickey

Raylee's two favorite characters by far are Elmo & Mickey. She loves to watch both of them on TV, and play with them when they're not on TV.

I caught Raylee looking outside with Elmo..

Then she spotted me...

Posing with Elmo

The next day we pulled out one of Raylee's birthday gifts, and she had a great time painting with the paintbrush. Knowing it was just water helped out w/ the mess!

Trying it out. I can't believe I have a right handed daughter!

Then guess who came on TV? We pulled out her table so she could keep working.

Finally getting her to break her concentration for a smile! Raylee is getting to an age where we can do more and more activities together, which makes us both happy!

Hope everyone has a great day!

St. Patrick's Day

We did not do much this St. Patrick's Day, because it was the day Paul left for North Dakota. I am happy to say he made it, although we are missing him already. I did put the girls in some green, and take some pictures. We went over to my MawMaw & PawPaw's house, and got to see Auntie Susan & Bryce, who brought Raylee her birthday present! She loves it, and has already played w/ a lot of her stuff. Thanks y'all!

Here are some pictures of the girls...

Hope everyone has a great day!
