Brinn Update & Football is ON!

Just a little update on Miss Brinn:
I went to the Doctor yesterday, and I was dilated to a 2! I was also down a pound. :) Basically, it could be any day now. My guess is that it will be late next week, but I know that once those contractions start it is go time! When I had Raylee, I felt my 1st contractions around 4 in the afternoon, went to the hospital around 10 at night and Raylee was born at 1:19 a.m. It was very fast! Seeing as this is my 2nd, things should go even faster, so once I feel consistent contractions we will be headed to the hospital!

Also, as I am sure you have heard, football is back! Paul got his fantasy football invitation today, and he is so excited. He is playing in the same league as last year, and even though it takes up SO much time, I am happy for him. Little does he know that I used some Kohl's cash, and this is on the way to our house:

Hope everyone is having a good evening! Check back tomorrow for Wordless Wednesday!

Friday Randomness

It is Friday! Although Paul has to work tomorrow because of a rain out earlier this week, Raylee is staying with my Mom tonight. Paul and I have a date to go eat, spend some gift cards, and pre-register at the hospital. Sounds exciting right?! Anyways I wanted to post some random things from around here.

1st up is a picture of what our rainy day looked like earlier this week.
My two loves taking a nap:

Then on Thursday we took Raylee to the Doctor for a checkup. She weighed 28 lbs. 3 oz. and she was 34.5 inches tall. She had to get three shots, which were difficult, but she handled them so well. So proud of my tough girl.

& finally just wanted to share a deal I got a gap.com today. They ha a 3 HOUR sale that I had to take advantage of. I got the girls matching hoodie zip up sweaters. It was 40% off and free shipping so I ended up getting both of them for the price of 1! It will still be a while before they can wear them, but these are the best sweatshirts, and will look so cute!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Brinn's Nursery Pictures

This past weekend, Paul and I finished up the nursery. We have been working on projects for a while, but finally got everything hung up, and ready to go. Just for a reminder here is the before picture.

& here is the after!

& her crib w/ letters

I am really happy with the way that it turned out! Even though the girls will probably share a room in the future, I wanted Brinn to have her own space, and own nursery theme. With Raylee, I did mostly purple everything, so this time I wanted to embrace pink. Now we just need our sweet little girl to put in there!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Summertime Fun

These past couple of weeks have been flying by! Between going to the doctor every week, and enjoying the weekends, it seems like there is something planned almost everyday. We have been trying to do as much as possible, because once the new baby is here, it will be a lot more difficult to just pick up and go.

Last week, my stepbrother and his family, and my stepsister and her little girl came out to the river to swim. We went out there so that they could all spend some time together. Raylee and her cousin Anna are only 2 months apart, and it is beyond sweet to watch them together. They will have many memories out here with their "Granna & PawPaw."

We also made the trip to Kingwood so Raylee could see her "Grandpa & Grandma." I also got to eat at my favorite restaurant Italiano's. It was delicious, and so nice to spend some time with them.

Raylee has started saying "cheese" for about half a second, and if you are not fast enough this is the face she makes.

But if you can catch it, it looks like this! :)

Cheesing with Grandpa!

We went back to my Dad's office for a while, and Raylee helped him unpack his recycling box. She thought it was lots of fun!

We had so much fun visiting, and can't wait to see yall again!

This past weekend Paul & I finished up the nursery. I am working on a post about that so check back for the after pictures. I'll leave with a few of Raylee in her cute summer outfit.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Lately..

Lately, we have been doing lots of fun things, and I have been trying to document them along the way. This past weekend my sister Amanda came in to town for a visit. She took some really good pictures, and when she posts them (hint, hint) I will put them up. Here are a few pictures that I have taken.

My little girl getting so big :/

This past weekend Paul had to work on Saturday, but after we went to a local place that we really like, with some of his family to celebrate his promotion and pay raise. We are so proud of you Paul!

On Sunday we went out to the river again to swim. I tried to get a picture of Raylee in her cute new bathing suit, but she was too excited, so this was the best I could get. :)

Then we swam! It w\was so nice, with the heat to get in and float around. Raylee is so content in the water. She is definitely a water bug!

& since it is Wednesday, I will go ahead and post the Wordless Wednesday for the week:

Hope everyone has a great day!

Fourth of July!

Hello everyone. Hope you had a great Fourth of July! We did over here. Now we're trying to get back into the swing of things for the week. The 4th marks exactly 1 month until my due date & we're getting so excited to meet the new addition to our family!

Here is a picture of Raylee from her 1st Fourth of July, last year:

& this is from yesterday; Fourth of July 2011

We went out to my Mom & Gary's house on the river. Paul took this neat picture with our camera.

Then there is a sandbar down below, which Raylee loves.

& a new floating dock, with a ladder that even this 9 months preggo girl could get up and down

We ate a yummy lunch w/ strawberry shortcake for dessert:

& of course we swam. It was SO hot outside, but there we're cool spots all through the river.

We had such a great time! Thanks to my Mom & Gary for everything!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

The Past Few Days....

I wanted to do a post before the 4th tomorrow. We have plans to go out to my Mom & Gary's house on the river, and to say I am excited is an understatement. They have been working hard on re-doing a lot of features, including a new floating dock and a sandbar. I am also looking forward to the food!!! lol

Raylee has been a busy girl lately. On Thursday we were missing Aunt Amanda, so I got out one of my favorite pictures, and Raylee carried it around ALL afternoon. We can't wait to see you next week Aunt Manda!!!

Raylee stayed the night with her Granna on Thurs. & Fri. night, so Paul and I decided to go pay some bills and go out to eat. On the way a metal piece of something flew out on the road and hit our windshield right where I was sitting. Thankfully it did not go through the windshield. I was sprayed with glass, but it could have been so much worse, and so glad Raylee was not even in the car.

Last night we made Pioneer Woman's Lasagna. It was the best lasagna I have ever had, and Paul & I had so much fun making it. There is a ton left in our fridge, but don't worry it will get eaten. This is not a good picture of it, but if you are looking for a lasagna recipe, I highly recommend it.

Then today we went and had Burger King for breakfast. Raylee loves some egg and hash browns and could be heard by everyone inside saying MMmmm! after almost every bite! :) Then we went to the park, and Raylee played on the slide.

& swung on the swing with Daddy...

Trying to get a smile...

Hope everyone has a great Independence Day!
